Our contest is simple but competitive, and takes place quarterly. Winners and runners-up will be published once a year in our literary anthology, Colonnade. This quarter's deadline is September 30, 2011.

$12 entry fee, 10,000 word limit, previously unpublished fiction only, any genre accepted. Judging will be based off character development, story & plot, grammar & punctuation, style & voice, and reader impact. Quarterly winners receive $100, and two runners up are chosen, for a total of 12 yearly finalists, all of which are published in our yearly anthology, and one of which declared Story of The Year and given a first place prize of $500. The contest is open to anyone around the world, as long as the story is written primarily in English.
